It's been how long!!!!!

I just realized that I haven't posted anything to my blog in two years. The last post was right before my daughter was born and that was Halloween 2009. I wanted to make this a blog about stuff I like and ideas i had but it never took off for a variety or reasons. I am going to make a statement and I am going to post at least one post for 52 weeks. I want to verbalize some of the stuff that I am currently enjoying and want to share these thoughts with people and not just my dogs. Here's to 51 more posts about nothing and I hope to get some readers along the way.

Appreciating the little things

I haven't done this in awhile and I just wanted to list some things that I enjoyed today. I am starting to become a little more introspective of all the little things in life as I am waiting on my first child to be born and it makes me appreciate all the stuff that I love a lot more.

I am really digging Vertigo's new stuff, the crime books, Sweet tooth, Air, Unwritten, Unknown Solider was phenomenal, I just read the first trade. But there is one book that I believe is criminally underrated and I was reminded of this today when I read the House of Mystery Halloween Annual, it's Madame Xanadu, I think what Matt Wagner is doing with this book is just great. The last arc he just finished set in Vertigo NYC in the 1940's was just exceptional. The art was top notch because of the legendary Michael Kaluta and the pacing of the story and the nods to Sandman Mystery Theater just made me fall in love with this book.

Is it too late for a Zartana miniseries, I think he might be one of the least explored characters in the DCU. My dream team would be James Robinson and Tom Fowler on it, c'mon Mr.Didio or Ms. Berger give these guys a 4 issue mini to tell the Untold Tales of Zatara the Magician.

Before I go, I want to add this week's Fringe was ridiculous, I think the show is really hitting it's stride and I love that the dude from Grounded For Life, Superbad and plethora of other roles is playing Olivia's shrink/bowling instructor. I have got to give it to Akiva Goldman and J.J. Abrams this show is really hitting it's stride in the second season and I can't wait to see where it goes.

Venture Bros. starts this Sunday night, Go Team Venture!! Love that show, Brock Samson is a bad ass!

I have a ton of books and TV to catch up on so hopefully i will have time to read, watch and blog once Baby Girl arrives but somehow I doubt that.
